March 5, 2018: Allan Gordon is set to share an exclusive update on National Regional Property Group’s projects at an industry event this week (Mar 7).
Allan is the guest speaker at Omnia’s networking evening, which brings together professionals from the property and construction sectors to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities.
He will talk about National Regional Property Group’s impressive projects in Southampton, which are helping to bring hundreds of affordable homes to the city. He’ll also give his take on the wider topic of economic development and regeneration in the south.
Allan said: “I’m thrilled to have been asked to be guest speaker. When it comes to building better cities, it’s important that the whole industry works together. Collaboration is key and events such as this are a good platform for businesses to share their plans as well as tackle common issues together.”
Bow Square, National Regional Property Group’s £60m redevelopment of Southampton’s former Fruit and Vegetable Market, is set to be a key talking point at Wednesday’s event. The company is transforming the city’s run-down fruit and vegetable market into a striking set of apartment blocks with associated retail space. The scheme marks Southampton’s first ever Build to Rent development and is one the city’s council’s VIP projects.
Once complete it will feature 280 one and two-bedroom apartments, split across three blocks in an ‘L’ shape. Nearly 900 sqm of commercial space will be split between two of the blocks, with flexible commercial units offering space for retailers.
Lee McDonald, managing director at Omnia, said: “We’re excited for our guests to hear more about Bow Square and Southampton’s first Build to Rent building. The transformation of the fruit and vegetable market has been such an interesting one to watch over the last two years and we look forward to hearing the inside story.”
Omnia, the environmental consulting firm, holds regular networking events for the property and construction sector across the south. It’s well-versed in the region’s changing landscape, counting Associated British Ports, Bloor Homes and PMC Construction among its client base.
