June 7, 2018: National Regional Property Group’s MD shared his expertise with industry peers this week at the annual Southampton Property Association CPD event held at The Spark at Southampton Solent University.
Allan Gordon was invited to speak at the event to introduce National Regional Property Group and its developments taking place in Southampton. Allan also spoke about the Build to Rent market.
Among the projects he referenced was the company’s work on Bow Square, a £60m regeneration project that is transforming Southampton’s run-down fruit and vegetable market into a striking set of apartment blocks with associated retail space. The scheme marks Southampton’s first ever Build to Rent (BTR) development and forms a significant part of the city’s council’s masterplan.
The project has been a true example of collaboration between the public and private sector, with National Regional Property Group working to deliver the scheme as one of Southampton City Council’s VIP projects. Other organisations involved include Atlas Residential UK, which currently owns and manages phase one of the development and will soon take ownership of the second and third phases.
Allan also gave delegates an early insight into National Regional Property Group’s exciting new project in Southampton – the redevelopment of East Street. The c.£27m development, announced just last month, will see the site of the former retail units demolished and replaced with 132 apartments and associated retail space.
Allan Gordon said: “It was a pleasure to share our experiences of collaborative working with fellow members of Southampton Property Association. Our work on Bow Square is a classic example of best practice in action.”
